CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION AT DERM2019 NP/PA CME CONFERENCE
The submission deadline for poster exhibit or discussion abstracts for the Dermatology Education Foundation Essential Resource Meeting (DERM2019) NP/PA CME Conference is June 3, 2019.
Abstracts will be published in the DERM2019 Program Syllabus and select abstracts will be discussed in the general session. The author(s) will be notified by email if chosen for discussion sessions.
Please read the following guidelines carefully.
TO SUBMIT FOR CONSIDERATION TO DERM2019 FOR POSTER DISPLAY ONLY
Part 1. Submit an abstract for consideration to the DEF via email to [email protected] This abstract should be written in Microsoft ® Word and should contain the following components in a maximum of 750 words.
- Poster Title
- Poster Author(s)
- Author Affiliation(s)
- Author Contact Information, including email for notification of acceptance status
- Abstract (should not be more than 750 words) to be structured per the following:
- Introduction or Background
- Conclusion or Discussion
- Funding Source, if any, to be stated
TO SUBMIT FOR CONSIDERATION TO DERM2019 FOR POSTER DISCUSSION (OPTIONAL)
Part 2. Submit no more than five (5) Microsoft ® PowerPoint slides outlining the poster title, authors, affiliation, and study/abstract results for. Relevant graphs and tables must be included. Feel free to include relevant speaker notes to explain in greater detail the visuals provided within the slides. This must accompany the poster display submission as noted in Part 1.
POSTER PRESENTATION / DISCUSSION GUIDELINES
If the poster has been previously presented at another conference, it will be permitted to be displayed at DERM2019. However, we will not allow any duplication of poster data from prior DEF meetings.
AVOIDANCE OF COMMERCIALISM
Any poster, of which the cost is underwritten to any extent by a pharmaceutical company or other commercial enterprise, must avoid commercialism. Trade names must not be used for drugs, devices and/or instrumentation including lasers. In addition, such a poster should include a clear but inconspicuous acknowledgment stating that a portion of its cost was underwritten and identify the particular commercial company involved. No advertising matter of any kind may be distributed nor will any material display which, in any way, directly promotes the commercial interest of any particular company, enterprise, or the poster presenter be permitted. Any medications or other substances, devices or equipment referred to in exhibit materials must be identified by their scientific names.
Note: Sponsorship of funding by a commercial enterprise must be noted in the lower right- hand corner of the poster. Failure to do so will result in the poster being taken down.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE AND LOSS
DERM2019, Encore, Wynn Las Vegas will not be responsible for damage, destruction, loss or theft of exhibits or property used in connection therewith, however caused, nor for goods sent to the building prior to or remaining after the exhibit hall has closed. The poster presenter agrees to the above and will present no claims to DERM2019, the DEF, and Wynn Las Vegas. The poster presenter assumes all responsibility for damage or loss to the poster and for damage caused by the poster exhibit to the person, property and rights (including patient) or others, including damage to the floors, walls, decoration or equipment of the Wynn Las Vegas and the poster presenter agrees to protect, indemnify, hold harmless and defend the DERM2019, DEF, and Wynn Las Vegas from and against any claim for such damage or loss.
The maximum recommended poster size is 24”x36” in portrait mode.

|Please Note: All poster presenters must adhere to this schedue.|
If your poster is selected for discussion in the General Session, this is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 20, 2018. It is strongly recommended the poster author be in attendance for this session.
Poster presenters are encouraged to carry their material with them since small and/or flat items are easy to lose in shipping. DERM2019 does not provide return shipping services for poster presenters, however shipping services are available at the Business Center at the Wynn and Encore Las Vegas.
