The DEF Biologic & Small Molecule Regional NP/PA CME Bootcamp is now Virtual for Philadelphia, PA!
The safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and faculty is our priority and we have continued to monitor guidance from Federal, State and Local governments, as well as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19. After ongoing consultation with stakeholders, we have made the decision to convert the DEF Biologic & Small Molecule Regional NP/PA CME Bootcamp to a virtual educational experience on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in order to ensure a safe, productive and relaxed environment for everyone.
Given the circumstances we are facing as a global community, we know that altering our Bootcamp to a virtual educational experience is in the best interest of all of our registrants, and we are pleased to still provide you with the opportunity to connect and learn on time, as planned. The DEF Biologic & Small Molecule Regional NP/PA CME Bootcamp will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Although we modified the schedule for the day, you’ll still have access to the same amount of CME hours by watching additional content, too. Our faculty, Drs. April Armstrong and David Cohen, Kara Gooding, and Joe Gorelick are joining us for live presentations and discussion and you’ll have a chance to watch in-depth content prior to and after the Bootcamp. You registered through our mobile app for the Bootcamp, so you are already set! However, we’ll be providing further details and steps on how to connect and stay active through the Bootcamp.
We have a lot of education and fun planned for June 6! Some of the highlights include fantastic discussion on biologic and small molecules options for your patients, detailed discussion regarding the selection of biologics and switching patients to this treatment, as well as other fun stuff, too. We’ll host a meal for you at no charge and feature lots of contests, too – the educational kind, of course – but also a chance to win prizes by showing us your family dog or cat, if you wish to participate in this. Our exhibitors have a lot of value in store for you, too – promotions and more!
We are happy to answer any questions you might have. Please contact us through [email protected] for any immediate questions. All of us at the DEF hope you and your loved ones are well. We thank you for your support and understanding and look forward to another great event!
About this program series
Join us at our upcoming regional CME programs to discover in-depth disease-specific biologic training courses designed for NPs, PAs, biologic coordinators, MAs, and anyone in the practice responsible for the care of biologic patients. These courses will focus on the pathophysiology, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (AD), hidradenitis supparativa (HS), and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Immunology as well as existing and emerging therapies will be presented through lectures, panel discussions by thought leaders, and audience engagement.
Approximately 50-100 nurse practitioners and physician assistants are expected to attend each DEF Biologic & Small Molecule Regional CME Bootcamp Program. These are one-day free meetings held on a Saturday and offering up to 7 hours of CME per program.
